He was born in India, 30 years ago. He was 4 years old when His Holiness the Dalai Lama recognized him as the reincarnation of a former Rinpoche, at the time he retired to the monastery of Sera Je. After completing his studies he has agreed to be the new Resident Master of Ghe Pel Ling (Italy ).
\nHe is a direct disciple of our other Spiritual Guide, Thamtog Rinpoche, and despite his young age has given many teachings and initiations, both in India and in the West.<\/p>\n

Ven. Lama Thamthog Rinpoche<\/p><\/div>\n

He was born in eastern Tibet in 1951. When he was six years old he was recognized by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the tutor of His Holiness Kyabje Trijyan Rinpoche as the reincarnation of XII Thamthog, founder of the three largest monastic universities of Lithang.
\nHe studied at Sera Je Monastery in Tibet, and after 1959 continued his studies at Sera Je Monastic University in South India. In 1982 he was awarded the highest title of Buddhist studies “Geshe Lharampa.”
\nLater he entered the monastery of Tantric Ghium\u00e8 to deepen the study of the Tantra. Rinpoche received the complete transmission of the common and secret teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
\nIn 1987, at the invitation of his teacher, he moved to Italy as a resident Lama and spiritual leader of Ghe Pel Ling, until August 2009, when he was appointed abbot of Namgyal Monastery by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
\nHe is currently in Dharamsala, India, in order to deepen the knowledge and practice of the Kalachakra Tantra and the complex ritual that accompanies this important initiation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
